Embroidery is a passion of Marilyn’s, but she has an indeed lesser passion for seeing God’s faithful hand reproducing the image of His Son in the lives of others through followership.
Before they get into this week’s assignment, Marilyn thanks God for their time together and asks for understanding of the effects they study.
But the more complicated corridor of followership — being purposeful and following a transmittable pattern — are commodity Marilyn has learned from Donna,
Donna modeled followership for Marilyn and a many other women at ZPC.
Since also, 125 women at ZPC have learned the followership process, with the strong support of Marilyn’s pastor, Glenn McDonald.
Marilyn gained new confidence as she learned with other women how to do one- to- one followership using a Bible study companion that could fluently be used with someone differently.
Just as Marilyn follows a pattern for embroidery, she follows a biblical pattern of followership that becomes a model for Jill and other women to learn and do themselves.
Since 1998, she has been purposeful in her time with 1 or 2 women at a time, and she knows they too will be suitable to tutor other women, as several of them have formerly begun doing.
On a computer document that has been saved and streamlined numerous times, Donna keeps a record of the names of the women who have been involved in followership at Marilyn’s church, adding names behind the women they also tutor.
lately Donna refocused out to Marilyn that, through one- to- one followership, Marilyn has told 30 women in just 9 times.
As important as Melissa appreciates what Marilyn gives her through followership, Marilyn is quick to tell you that she learns just as much from these women as they do from her.
She says that indeed studying a abecedarian content like remission deepens Marilyn’s understanding of it, and she learns further each time through the women’s individual perceptivity.
Jan West, Marilyn’s long- time friend, has also been a followership mate through the times.

To Marilyn, followership has eternal value, so like the pattern in Marilyn’s exaggerated sample, the biblical pattern of followership passes from one woman to another.
